Rancho
-- for restoration posted 16 July 07
1982 Rancho
for sale, non-runner laid up for 10 - 12 years in shed. This was a runner
on the road till 1992, and I last started the engine in about 96/97,
it
had an MOT in '92 before it was laid up, I just did not want to let
it go at the time. The body work is in good condition, but I don't
know what it's like underneath etc.
Open
to highest bidder £300 plus

Bagheeras posted 4 Sept 06
The best
one is a 1977 S right-hand-drive all complete and
running, but is currently stripped for restoration. All the hard
work is done, it just needs a small amount of welding and tidying
up underneath. All parts are there to put back together except it needs
a windscreen.
The second car is a left-hand-drive and more or less complete. Was
brought as spares to strip it down to assist with the re-build.
A
quick
sale
is required as I need the space, so a bargain at £350 the
lot.

Murena 2.2 [last confirmed
24 July 06]
Was
owned by Eric Parker in Peterborough, then I purchased
it & had a lot of work done by Dick Gilbert.
It recently (June)
passed the Mot with no problems (it had 2 brand new rear discs & pads
just before).
It has had a new cyl head, four good tyres, stainless exhaust, & the
Matra alloys are good.
Good overall mechanical condition, good interior,
exterior good but would benefit from work to front bumper & some
re-painting in parts to make smart.
Mileage, I believe original at
97,000km.
Unfortunately
now need to sell due to lack of time & space.
Contact
Mark by email:
. Car near Diss which is Suffolk/Norfolk
borders & would think £1650 is a very reasonable price for
the condition.

Bagheera
'S' LHD [posted 3 August 2005]
I was a member of the club up till about 10 years ago, when I took
it off the road to do a bit of restoration on it. I put a nearly
new engine and reconditioned
gearbox in it, which have done hardly any miles since. I started to get some
body work done on it, ie a new panel under the windscreen and a bit of plating
on the door posts. Then the guy told me it needed new floor panels. At that
time i'd just come back from abroad and couldn't afford it. It has
been in a shed
since, until a month or so ago. Unfortunately a lot of the ancillary bits
have started to rust, like the front hatch hinge brackets, and a
panel that runs along
the front under the grill that the valence attaches to.
Presently in South Wales, near Usk. Contact Jane on

Murena
1.6 restoration project [posted
26 April 2004]
I won't
live long enough to restore all the cars I own, so my much dreamed
about Murena 1.6 has got to go!
It's
an X-plated gold-coloured model, I bought it about 6 years ago from
a garage in the south wales valleys. It had been standing
minus
cylinder head for some years and the bores where corroded. running
on a tight budget, I bought a solara unit a fitted it with a light
skim & a new gasket saw all four cylinders firing. I haven't really
touched it since then. It needs the brakes releasing and then lots of minor sorting out.
When I got it running I was suprised that the elec windows and the
headlights worked. It would need re-laquering to look its best as that
is peeling off. I moved house and drove the car a couple of miles to
the new address but un-touched since.
Last summer some of the local teenagers decided to remove various
bits of trim, most of which i've got. But after I moved it a little
to protect it, some idiot threw a stone at the windscreen and managed
to put a 6 inch crack in one corner. To many of the club members it's probably in a bad
way, but I have to admit I wouldn't really want it to be broken for
spares. So I would
prefer to pass it on to someone who could fulfil my dreams. I saved
it once, now it's someone else's turn.
I've no realistic view as to its value, but whatever I get for it
will be spent on saving another rare vehicle. I'd even be prepared
to take on another project in exchange, but it would ideally have to
be a two-wheeled one that I can tuck into my shed where the locals
won't pick on it. It's in fair condition inside and has multispoke
alloy wheels.

Bagheera Body Panels [posted 3 Oct 06]
I have a set of series 2 Baggy panels including doors and
bumpers (the front valance is the nice one with the return moulding)
which are now surplus to requirements - I have just bought a Murena.
Although I stay on the Isle of Lewis, I am heading to Edinburgh with
a van on 13th October so if anyone en route wants
the panels they can have them for free!
